At Smrti Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child through academic excellence, character development and holistic well-being. Established in 2018, we are a progressive CBSE school from Pre-Primary to Grade 12, located in Huskur, off Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru, and founded by experienced educators with more than two decades of expertise.
Our journey begins in the Montessori classrooms (ages 3 to 6), where principles such as independence, curiosity, social responsibility and spiritual awareness form the foundation of learning. These values continue to guide our students through every stage of school, preparing them to become compassionate, confident and future-ready leaders.

JOURNEY THROUGH OUR DAY
At Smrti Academy, the school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 2:45 p.m. Each day is thoughtfully designed to create a balance between academic rigor, co-curricular enrichment, and meaningful social interaction—ensuring the holistic development of every child.
Timings:
- Montessori 1: 8:15 am – 12:30 pm
- Montessori 2 8:15 am – 12:30 pm
- Montessori 3 – Grade 12 – 8:15 am – 2:45 pm
EARLY YEARS PROGRAM
- The day opens with joyful activities such as assemblies, physical exercise, circle time, or group conversations that encourage bonding and expression.
- Children enjoy a mid-morning snack break followed by outdoor play, allowing them to refresh and recharge.
- The schedule is flexible and nurturing, supporting curiosity, creativity, and the development of early social skills.
MONTESSORI 3 AND ABOVE
- The day begins with a whole-school assembly that sets an inspiring tone.
- Assemblies feature student-led presentations, quizzes, and discussions on current affairs, helping children cultivate confidence, communication skills, and awareness of the world around them.
- Students enjoy a mid-morning snack and a leisurely lunch break, creating opportunities to recharge, connect with peers, and build lasting friendships.

MEET THE ADVISORY BOARD
Mr. Raghavendra K
Raghavendra (alias Raghu) is a Leader with 34+ years of experience in Human Resources. He is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources Development and is a member of the Executive Council of Infosys BPM Ltd.
A frequent speaker in thought leadership sessions and seminars globally, Raghu is a Post Graduate from Madras School of Social Work. He has also completed an Advanced Management Program from IIM, Bangalore and the Infosys Global Leadership Program from Stanford University.
Mrs. Geetha Basavaraj
Mrs. Geetha Basavaraj is an educationalist with a fantastic 39-year old track record.. Starting her career in 1982, she went on to become the Principal at various schools including JSS Group and BGS Group. She set up 4 CBSE Schools for the JSS Group including the one in Dubai. She trains teachers and Principals and is associated with CBSE at various levels. She won the CBSE National Award for Teachers in 2003-04 and has been consistently honoured by various organizations for her contribution to the field of education.
Dr. Gideon Arulmani
Dr. Gideon Arulmani, PhD., Founder-Director, The Promise Foundation, is a clinical psychologist interested in culture, education and counselling. His Cultural Preparation Process Model is widely used in various countries across the world.
Gideon is a sought after speaker in international conferences. He has authored two books and published close to 75 peer reviewed papers and chapters. He is the Founder-Trustee, Indian Association for Career and Livelihood Planning and a Board Member of IAEVG, an International Fellow of Consortium for Multicultural Psychology Research USA.

Ravichandran Venkataraman, the Founder Director of Smrti Academy, is a leader of international repute. With 35+ years of experience in the Corporate World, Ravi has occupied Senior Leadership Positions in companies like ANZ and HP. He was the Managing Director of ANZ Operations & Technology in India. After that, he was the Senior Vice-President and Head of the Global Business Service of HP, leading a team of 18,000+ across 58 countries. He is a Trustee of eVidyaloka, a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides on-line education to 200,000+ children across 17 states in India. Ravi’s bent of mind for music and sport helps with the co-curricular activities planning.
V Ravichandran
Founder-Director
Ravi Ramachandra, the Director and Co-Founder of Smrti Academy, is a Civil Engineer – a leading builder and player in the infrastructure industry with 25+ years of experience. Ravi joined his father’s family business in civil engineering and later started his own company, Sri Raja Rajeshwari Constructions. He has done numerous residential, commercial buildings and government projects in Bangalore and developed beautiful residential layouts in various parts of Karnataka. Ravi brings with him amazing project management skills along with an unflinching focus on the customer. He has worked with leading architects in Bangalore and is a sought after builder as he relentlessly moves to the latest in construction technology.
Director & Co-Founder
Mr. Ramachandra Madasu brings with him an impressive 20+ years of experience in education. With postgraduate degrees in Physics and Computer Applications, his professional journey spans leadership roles in prestigious institutions, including DRS International School (an IB School in Hyderabad), Chaitanya and Narayana Group Schools and Colleges. Most recently, he served as Deputy General Manager (DGM) at Narayana Group, where he mentored Principals and Deans across multiple schools.
An accomplished educator, Ram’s expertise in Physics, particularly in guiding students for IIT JEE and other competitive exams, equips him with a deep understanding of how to nurture every child’s unique potential. His vision aligns seamlessly with Smrti Academy’s approach to deliver excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.
Principal
Deepa Ravichandran, the Founder-Principal of Floretz Montessori, is the Chief Mentor to Smrti Academy. With 17+ years of experience in the Education Sector, Deepa brings with her the unique ability to create fun learning environments for children. She is a Masters in Industrial Electronics with a Diploma in Montessori Education and in Special Education. She trains teachers of various Schools across the country and has a deep understanding of blending the Montessori Way and Philosophy with the curriculum a School adopts.
